Fire and Rescue NSW is fighting an out-of-control blaze at a Hunter Valley warehouse used to store hand sanitiser.
Emergency services were called to the industrial complex at around 10.40am on Sunday following reports of a large fire at Weston Aluminium, near Kurri Kurri.
Black smoke could be seen billowing from some of the Mitchell Avenue buildings as the blaze spread to nearby facilities.
NSW Police said there is currently no risk to residential properties.
“The building is believed to have been unoccupied at the time, and no injuries have been reported,” NSW Police said in a statement.
They are advising members of the public with from respiratory conditions to avoid the area.
A number of Fire and Rescue NSW crews are on scene.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
Delays are expected and motorists are urged to avoid the area where possible and check www.livetraffic.com for updates.
