An out-of-control truck has destroyed a house south of Adelaide, forcing neighbours to dive for cover and trapping two of the vehicle's occupants for nearly an hour.
Emergency services were called to the two-storey weekend holiday home at Carrickalinga, on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula, about 10:30am today.
No-one was home at the time but State Emergency Service (SES) workers had to free two occupants of the truck who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
A neighbour, Jarrett, said he grabbed his child and dived for cover when he saw the out-of-control truck approaching.
"I heard a massive rumble outside. I looked out my window and saw a truck careering through my front yard," he said.
"I checked my partner, she was sleeping in the next room over, it was literally a couple of metres away from taking out that front room."

He said the truck "collected my car" and kept going into the house next door.
"Thank God no-one was home," he said.
"It didn't sink in for a while, it took a while to get to grips with what was happening."
Police said the truck's driver and passenger were trapped for nearly an hour, after debris from the house collapsed on top of the cabin.
"Fortunately nobody was in the house at the time of the crash, with the house completely destroyed in the incident," police said.
"The two men from the truck are being conveyed to the Flinders Medical Centre with non life-threatening injuries."
It is not known what caused the truck to lose control, and police are investigating.

The vehicle damaged a Stobie pole before slamming into the building.
Country Fire Service (CFS) volunteer Lisa Rohrlach was alerted to the incident by her daughter, who lives next door.
"There was just carnage everywhere, but I was so glad to see the kids were okay.
"Your heart still goes 100 to the dozen until you know your kids are safe."
