Police believe a "number of shots" were fired in the direction of the 32-year-old as he was leaving his address.

Bullet casings left on the road were analysed by police today as armed crime squad officers combed for clues.

A neighbour who asked to remain anonymous said the incident was "scary".

"It's a very quiet street. Never never see something like that," they said.
