Two travel-related cases have also been recorded, while four people are in hospital with the virus.
The spike in new cases comes after 258 cases were reported yesterday.
Premier Mark McGowan said the state's caseload was growing quickly, but added it was "slower than the rest of the states" in Australia.
"It's starting to grow pretty rapidly now, but fortunately, we're getting our vaccination rates up to probably the highest in the world so that puts us in good stead," he said.
Mr McGowan said there had been 244 known cases of COVID-19 at 96 schools, but that schools were continuing to operate.
Restriction change for outdoor events
Mr McGowan announced the government had adjusted its COVID-19 restrictions around outdoor events so that the cap of 200 attendees would only be allowed if the space had two square metres per person.
"This will resolve some of the issues around weddings, wakes, funerals and other events that are being held outdoors and private property," he said.
A maximum of 30 people are allowed at indoor gatherings regardless of the size of the space.

All public venues in the region are subject to a two-square-metre per person rule and major events were capped at a maximum of 75 per cent capacity.
A total of 95.8 per cent of Western Australians aged 12 and over have been double-dosed with a COVID-19 vaccine.
Almost 60 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had a booster shot.
