Residents of a Gold Coast street have been forced to spend hours shut inside their home as specialist police swarmed a property.
Officers arrived at the home in Pimpama at 11am on Sunday in relation to an arrest warrant.
Police have not disclosed the reason they were called to the property.
Neighbours watched from their windows for hours as a large contingent of police moved in on the street.
This included specialist armed police in protective gear who approached one particular property.
Other officers had to block off the street entirely, which prevented residents who weren't home from returning to their homes.
Police packed up at 1pm and moved out of the street without revealing whether any arrests had been made.
