A fast-moving fire is burning near Townsville in north Queensland, with residents being asked to prepare to leave.
As of 6.09pm Sunday night, the fire is burning in Julago and is travelling towards Sunnyside Street.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) said conditions could get worse quickly and residents should watch and act accordingly.
QFES said the fire is likely to impact the community in the coming hours and those who find it hard to move quickly should leave now.
The fire first started burning around 4:13pm Sunday.

Meanwhile, a grass fire burning near Emerald in central Queensland has been downgraded and residents can return with caution.
As of 6:34pm Sunday, the fire near Fairbairn State Forest is now burning in containment lines.
It is travelling slowly towards Selma Road with firefighters on site.
QFES said fire conditions have eased but the situation could change quickly.
Residents are being advised some places may not have power and some phone and internet services may not work.
The fire first started burning around 11:30am Sunday.
QFES said two fixed-wing aircraft were helping firefighting efforts.
A fast-moving fire that broke containment lines in the Glass House Mountains National Park has also been downgraded to advice with no properties currently at risk.
QFES urged those on and around Mawsons Road and Holt Road in Beerwah to activate bushfire survival plans.
As of 5:20pm Sunday, QFES said residents were being urged to stay alert.
Around 20 fire crews were working to contain the blaze, with aircraft assisting ground crews with water bombing.
