It's a different Melbourne Cup this year, but racing fans are determined to still have fun
There'll be no crowds to cheer the horses along at Flemington tomorrow, no car park breakfasts, boot parties or racegoers stumbling home when it's all done, high-heels in hand and shirts untucked.
This year fans won't be allowed at the track because of COVID restrictions, and travel bans mean Angela won't be with her dad for the race that stops a nation.
Read how people plan to celebrate the 2020 Melbourne Cup.

WORLD NEWS: UK lockdown could last longer than one month
The one-month lockdown for England announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson this weekend could be extended as Britain struggles to contain a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, a senior cabinet member said on Sunday.
After resisting the prospect of a new national lockdown for most of last month, Johnson announced on Saturday that new restrictions across England would kick in after midnight on Thursday morning and last until Dec. 2.
The United Kingdom, which has the biggest official death toll in Europe from COVID-19, is grappling with more than 20,000 new coronavirus cases a day and scientists have warned a worst-case scenario of 80,000 dead could be exceeded this winter.
Asked if a lockdown could be extended beyond early December, senior cabinet minister Michael Gove told Sky News: "Yes."
Britain has reported 46,717 COVID-19 deaths - defined as those dying within 28 days of a positive test. A broader measure of those with COVID-19 on their death certificates puts the toll at 58,925.
"We can definitively say that unless we take action now, the (health service) is going to be overwhelmed in ways that none of us could countenance," Gove said.
The new lockdown announcement came 10 days after Johnson told parliament it would "make no sense at all" to "turn the lights out with a full national lockdown".

Australian cycling events cancelled because of COVID-19
Cycling's Tour Down Under and Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race won't be held in January.
The two events, in South Australia and Victoria respectively, were cancelled last night within minutes of each other.
Officials say rising coronavirus numbers in Europe and the late end to the 2020 season made quarantine issues too difficult to overcome.
South Australia and Victoria are now planning domestic cycling events instead.

Authorities says the case is the second child who was likely infected after visiting the Prestons Flip Out Indoor Trampoline Park last Sunday.
There were no locally acquired cases recorded yesterday, with about 14,700 tests conducted.
The new case will be included in today's figures.

NT Government will lift ban on regional Victoria
From today, residents and travellers from regional Victoria will be allowed to freely enter the Nothern Territory, while Greater Melbourne remains a declared hotspot.
The NT government confirmed it will today revoke the status of regional Victoria as a hotspot, meaning travellers won't have to quarantine for two weeks if the arrive in the territory.
However, most regional Victorians will only have the option of travelling to the NT by plane as there are still strict restrictions blocking most Victorians from road travel through South Australia and New South Wales.
Travellers who transit through Melbourne airport will be allowed into the NT without quarantining, as long as they don't stop or spend time in the greater Melbourne region outside the airport.
