Emergency response for helicopter crash in Western Australia - PerthNow

Two people are lucky to be alive after managing to escape a helicopter crash unscathed.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Jandakot Airport in Perth’s south after the crash that happened at around 3:30pm on Friday.

The helicopter was close to the ground when it ran into trouble, meaning that its occupants avoided injury. Credit: Channel 9

The helicopter was coming in for landing when it got into trouble, crashing to the ground and toppling on its side.

The crash caused serious damage to the helicopters blades but both occupants were able to walk away without injury.

They were checked over by St John paramedics with no treatment required.
