Love Island star Claudia Bonifazio speaks out after brother's Glenside pizzeria, Bar38, destroyed in fire - ABC News

Love Island star Claudia Bonifazio has labelled an "arson attack" on her brother's Adelaide business as "incomprehensible".

Emergency services were called to Bar38 on Greenhill Road at Glenside, in Adelaide's eastern suburbs, around 3am.

SA Police said it took 50 minutes for the blaze to be controlled but the business was completely destroyed.

SA Police said damage was also caused to a restaurant and another business attached to the bar.

Police investigators believe the fire was deliberately lit.

In a statement posted to social media, Bar38 said future bookings will be cancelled until further notice.

Emergency crews brought the blaze under control in about 50 minutes.(ABC News )

"It's with a mix of emotions that we let you know that Bar38 has unfortunately closed its doors due to a recent arson attack," the statement read.

"This has been a challenging time for all of us, as everything we've worked so hard for over the last 3.5 years has been lost in the fire."

Ms Bonifazio, who has more than 190,000 followers on Instagram, posted on the platform that her family was "devastated" by the incident.

The reality television star said her brother had run the business for the past four years.

"He has put his heart, soul, sweat and tears and certainly a lot of money into this business," she said.

Ms Bonifazio said the bar was not covered by insurance. 

"The insurance ran out a few months ago and they were too busy to even think about insurance," she posted.
