Here's a quick update from two farmers in far north Queensland.

Frank Sciacca says last night was streeful.(ABC News: Meghan Dansie)

Frank Sciacca, who's based just south of Innisfail, says while many trees are still standing, it's always a worry when cyclones hit the coast.

"It creates a lot of anxiety," he says.

"Seeing those trees still standing means a lot."

With the rain still pouring, he said although the crop can handle tropical wet season rainfall, water logging is not ideal.

"We can handle a lot of water, as long as it's not for too long."

Further north at Lakeland, banana producer Peter Inderbitzen has been out inspecting his property today and says there appears to be minimal damage.

One of the few trees knocked over at Mr Inderbizen's farm. (ABC News: Amy Sheehan)

"I haven't been everywhere but there's only one or two (trees) fallen down."

"I'm very, very happy actually because we had 40-45 kilometre winds last night up till about 10 o'clock and we've had 70 millimetres of rain last night, 20 today."

Mr Inderbitzen says he will continue packing produce today that was cut down before ex-Tropical Cyclone Jasper's arrival.

"We've chopped them down yesterday to pack today so we'll be starting packing again today."
