100 person per indoor venue cap for step three to be removed

ABC News

The odd cases and outbreaks was "anticipated" and that it will not halt the three step process being implemented.

The 100 per person cap for each indoor gathering during step three will be removed, to be replaced by a 4 square meter rule for all premises.

That 4 square metre rule will be reviewed by the expert panel of medical professionals, the PM said.

The PM added the rule would also apply to funerals.

For outdoor sporting events, during step three, the government will allow attendance of up to 25 per cent capacity at stadiums that have a capacity of less then 40,000, The events will have to be ticketed and seated.

That rule will extend to festivals if there are seats and the event is ticketed.

Venues greater than 40,000 will not be permitted to have spectators. This will require "much more significant work."

Nightclubs are not on the agenda.

"We've seen overseas, nightclubs is one area of failures."
