ACT records another 15 COVID-19 cases, with seven infectious in the community - ABC News

The ACT has recorded 15 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19, with seven of those spending part of their infectious period in the community.

ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr confirmed 13 of the new cases have been linked to an existing case or cluster, with two still under investigation.

Mr Barr said the number of people with the virus in hospital had reduced to nine, with only one person in intensive care requiring ventilation.

Busy Bees at The Park a close exposure site

Chief Health Officer Kerryn Coleman said there were now 16 public sites of transmission in the capital.

Busy Bees at The Park childcare centre was listed overnight as a close contact exposure site across four days from August 30 to September 2.

Dr Coleman said three cases had now been linked to the Priceline Pharmacy in Woden and an additional case had been linked to KFC in Dickson.

Dozens of additional casual exposure sites have also been identified, including the Centrelink shopfronts in Woden and Braddon, and Australia Post Woden in Phillip.

More to come.
