Here's a quick wrap of each Australian jurisdiction's latest COVID-19 statistics for Tuesday, August 2.

Australian Capital Territory

Four people have died with COVID-19 in the ACT in the latest reporting period.

There are 158 people in hospital, with three of them in intensive care. One person is ventilated.

There were 754 new COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours.

There have been 47 deaths reported in the state in the past 24 hours.

There are 2,289 people in hospital with COVID-19, and 76 patients in intensive care.

New South Wales recorded 10,702 new cases.

There are 53 people in hospital with COVID-19 in the territory, with one person in intensive care.

There were 242 new cases reported in the past 24 hours, and no new deaths.

The state has recorded 22 COVID-related deaths in the past 24 hours.

There are 815 people in hospital with COVID-19, with 28 in intensive care.

Queensland has recorded 6,249 new cases of COVID-19.

There are 129 people in hospital with COVID-19, with nine of them in intensive care.

The state recorded 944 new cases.

Victoria

There have been 13 deaths of people with COVID-19 recorded in the past 24 hours.

There are 802 patients in hospital with the virus, and 44 people are in intensive care.

Victoria has recorded 10,079 new cases.
