A young girl was rushed to hospital after she was attacked by two dogs in Melbourne’s southeast.
Emergency services were called to Bellevue Drive, Berwick on Wednesday at about 8am after reports a 12-year-old girl and her dog were attacked by two other dogs.
It’s understood the attack happened outside Berwick Fields Primary School.

The girl was taken to Casey Hospital in a stable condition with minor upper and lower body injuries.
According the girl’s father, Mick Garratt, an off duty paramedic stopped and assisted until an ambulance arrived.
“I owe you a beer,” he wrote on social media.
The young girl underwent surgery for her injuries yesterday, according to the Facebook post.
Garratt also said his dog was rushed to the vet by a bystander and endured a six-hour-long life-saving surgery.
“Our dog ... is now recovering let’s hope there are no complications,” he wrote.
City of Casey manager of safer communities Daniel Osborne said the council was currently investigating the incident, but the two dogs that are believed to be responsible for the attack had been seized by council officers.
