What it's like for paramedics in Victoria

Victorian paramedic Michael Kinsella has spoken to News Breakfast this morning about what it is like for him and his colleagues during this pandemic.
One question he answered focused on the risks involved with going to work each day, dealing with a deadly virus.
"We know we are at a lot of risk when we're taking off the PPE so we need to follow some strict guidelines," he said.
"We need to take it slow and we need to make sure that everything we touch we clean, so we protect ourselves and, secondly, we clean the ambulance so when we go out to see the next patient it is clean and safe for them."
Despite being on the frontline, Mr Kinsella has described himself "lucky" in one sense, as he and his colleagues are allowed to go to work.
"This is a stressful time for everybody, not just paramedics. I think a lot of my colleagues would agree that in one way we're very lucky to be able to continue to do what we do," he said.
"Coming out into the work place and seeing our colleagues, so there are a lot of people at home that are isolated and they are potentially living at home, not working, so we are lucky in one way, even though it is a little bit stressful at the moment, as you can imagine."
