Victoria has recorded 980 new cases of COVID-19 and seven additional deaths as the state's seven-day average falls below 300.
There are currently 299 Victorians being treated for COVID-19 in hospital, 16 of whom are on ventilators in intensive care.
Yesterday more than 65,000 tests were received in the state, and more than 91 per cent of Victorians aged 12 and over are now fully vaccinated.
There is still 15,433 active cases of COVID-19 being managed in Victoria.
NSW records 286 new cases, one additional death
New South Wales has recorded 286 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
Currently there are 148 cases being treated in state hospitals, 26 of whom are in intensive care units.
In NSW 92.8 per cent of people aged 16 and over are fully vaccinated, while 77.2 per cent of teens and pre-teens aged 12 to 15 are fully vaccinated.
