A pharmacy, Bunnings and an RSL are among several new venues on alert as the Sydney outbreak continues to spread.
Eighteen new cases were revealed on Wednesday, including six members of the same family from Sydney’s inner-west.
And there are fears it could spread further with 34 close contacts of the family now in isolation.
On Wednesday the health department released an updated list of potential exposure sites. Anyone who attended the following venues must get tested and isolate until they receive further advice from NSW Health.
BARDWELL PARK: Earlwood Bardwell Park RSL, 18 Hartill-Law Avenue, December 28, 6pm-11.30pm.
Anyone who visited any of the following venues is considered a casual contact who must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
RHODES: Priceline Pharmacy, Shop MM1, Rhodes Waterside, 1 Rider Boulevard, Rhodes 2138, December 24, 9am-12pm.
BASS HILL: BWS, Bass Hill Plaza, 753 Hume Highway, December 24, 1.10pm-1.30pm.
A Bunnings and a Costco are also among new businesses on high alert. Anyone who visited the following venues should monitor their symptoms.
CROYDON PARK: Martin Reserve, Seymour St, December 27, 12pm-12.40pm.
LIDCOMBE: Costco, 17-21 Parramatta Rd, December 24, 10am-10.20am and 4.20pm-4.45pm.
LIDCOMBE: Bunnings, 23-29 Parramatta Rd, December 24, 4pm-4.20pm.
AUBURN: BCF (Boating Fishing Camping) Cnr Parramatta Rd and Rawson St, December 23, 10.15am-10.45am.
The new alerts come after a staff member at a NSW pharmacy has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting concerns of a cluster forming in the Blue Mountains area.
In a social media post, the Greenwell and Thomas Pharmacy Katoomba said a staff member who was working on December 26 and 27 had tested positive.
“The Department to Health has requested they be tested for COVID-19 and to isolate until they have a negative result,” the pharmacy said.
“The pharmacy has been deep cleaned and we have been advised by the Department of Health that we are able to open.”
A spate of hot spot venues were also revealed on Wednesday after the Croydon cluster became known. Anyone who visited any of these venues at the times listed is considered a close contact and must get tested immediately and isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result.

A case in Wollongong was also revealed earlier in the week after a woman in her 50s tested positive after visiting Sydney. Her household contact, another woman in her 20s, has also returned a positive swab.
Anyone who attended St Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Atchison Street, Wollongong, on Sunday, December 27 between 9am and 10.15am is a close contact and must get tested and isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result.
People who attended the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 18 Stewart St, Wollongong, on Sunday, December 27 between 10.30am and 11am is deemed a casual contact who must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
Health authorities said the advice replaces previous advice given for the two churches.
