Three police officers are in hospital after being hit by a car during a routine traffic stop near the National Arboretum in Canberra.
The officers were on the side of Forest Drive when they were struck by a green Ford sedan about 2:50pm.
One suffered a broken leg, another a back injury and the third officer is being treated for a shoulder injury.
The officers received treatment from ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
The driver is now in custody but it is not yet clear whether the collision was a deliberate act.

)Superintendent Corey Heldon said the incident would be thoroughly investigated but she reminded drivers that "driving a vehicle at any person was a serious offence".
"We are investigating whether the driver deliberately drove at police," she said.
"Police being deliberately injured while they are doing their job is never acceptable."
Superintendent Heldon said one of the officers had been seriously injured.
"I am thankful these three officers are alive," she said.
"The consequences of this incident could easily have been much worse."
Anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident is urged to contact police.
"I ask anyone who saw this incident who has not spoken to police to do so as soon as possible in order to enable us to fully investigate the circumstances," Superintendent Heldon said.
