A toddler has been found in Melbourne's east, about an hour after the car they were sitting in was stolen.
Police said the two-year-old was in the back seat of a car parked on Cleeland Street in Dandenong when it was stolen about 3:25pm.
Witnesses reported seeing the black Kia Carnival — registration 1WU5QT — driving north towards Heatherton Road.
The toddler was found uninjured at about 4:35pm at a business on the Burwood Highway in Ferntree Gully, roughly 15 kilometres away, police said.
Police have urged anyone who sees the vehicle to contact triple-0.
Anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage, information or who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
