Perth man fitted with monitoring device
A 35-year-old man has been fitted with an electronic monitoring device after he arrived in Western Australia without travel approval.
The man entered WA from South Australia around September 23 via a bush track north of Kalgoorlie.
He was arrested the next day in the Wheatbelt town of Kellerberrin, 200km east of Perth.
The man has been charged with failing to comply with a direction and fined $7,500.
His ankle monitor will remain in place until the end of his hotel quarantine in Perth.
