Melbourne’s latest coronavirus cluster hasn’t grown overnight, with the Department of Health revealing no new local cases were detected in the community.

Two cases linked to the Sydney outbreak — which were both announced on Thursday night - will be added to the state’s active case tally.

They include a man who caught what is believed to be the Delta strain of virus while visiting his daughter in Sydney. That man is then understood to have infected his boss at a Sandringham dry cleaners, which has since been closed.

Authorities will scour through QR code data to determine customers who may have come into contact.

It comes as the owner of the dry cleaner’s family members have tested negative, but will remain in isolation for 14 days.

He has since been moved to the Holiday Inn health hotel.

Despite the new scare, Melbourne’s restrictions eased as planned at 11.59pm on Thursday night.

Acting Premier James Merlino on Thursday said Victorians couldn’t afford to become complacent, adding that testing and getting vaccinated were two of the most important things to combat the new outbreak.

Mr Merlino is now fully vaccinated, after receiving his second dose of Pfizer yesterday.

Authorities are expected to provide a health update later this morning.

Two cases linked to a dry cleaners have sparked new exposure sites across Melbourne.

Ten Tier Two and three Tier Three exposure sites were added on Thursday night.

Three locations were shops at Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre, including Autograph between 11.50am and 1pm on June 22, Colonial Fruit Company between 12.30pm and 1.10pm on June 22 and Yang Yang Asian Grocery from 12.40pm to 1.20pm on June 22.

The Black Rock Convenience Store at 185 Bluff Rd was listed twice, from 10am to 10.20am on June 23 and 5.05pm to 5:20pm on June 23.

Others were Woolworths Burwood East - Burwood Heights Shopping Centre between 5.30pm and 6.15pm on June 21, Coles Oakleigh Central, on Hanover and Portman St, between 9.15pm and 9.45pm on June 20 and the 901 bus from Melbourne Airport / Grants Rd to Broadmeadows Station / Pascoe Vale Rd (Broadmeadows) from 7.42pm to 7.55pm on June 20.

Three train stations were listed as exposure sites on June 20. Broadmeadows Train Station from 7.55pm to 8.15pm, Flinders Street Station from 8.38pm to 8.52pm and Oakleigh Train Station from 9.15pm to 9.30pm.

Anyone at these stations must only monitor for symptoms.

The trains, caught from these stations, were the 8.15pm to 8.38pm inbound train from Broadmeadows to Flinders Street and the 8.52pm to 9.15pm outbound train from Flinders Street to Oakleigh.

Anyone on these trains must get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

It came after the owner of Sandringham Dry Cleaners Henry Li received his positive result on Thursday.

The 61-year old said his wife and two sons had tested negative on Thursday but they were still awaiting results for his nephew’s test.

Mr Li said he had been in contact with the Health Department and was expecting to move into a health hotel on Thursday night, to protect his family.

He told the Herald Sun the Health Department had supported him and would do deep cleaning of the store.

He said he hasn’t started contact tracing yet - having only just tested positive - but that in the past few days he hasn’t gone out much.

“I’m lucky in the past few days I didn’t really go out, just going between working and home.”

He said he did go shopping on one day, but he “always wears a mask” and checks in.

He said it was a “bad feeling” knowing his customers were exposed when they visited his business and that they all had to be contacted and placed into isolation.

He told the Herald Sun he hopes he hasn’t passed Covid on to anyone else.

“I hope this stops with me,” he said.

“I hope everyone is safe.”

It is believed Mr Li caught the virus from an employee at the dry cleaners, who tested positive on Thursday morning after returning from Sydney on Sunday.

The employee, who lives in Oakleigh and works as a dry cleaner in Sandringham, caught Jetstar flight JQ523 on June 20, leaving Sydney at 5.30pm and arriving in Melbourne at 7.05pm.

Anyone on the impacted flight must get tested and quarantine for 14 days from the time of exposure.

Anyone who was in Terminal 4 between 6.55pm and 7.40pm on June 20 must get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Anyone who visited Sandringham Dry Cleaners, on Bay Rd, on June 23, from 7.30am to 5.30pm, on June 22, from 10am to 3pm, or on June 21, from 9am to 4pm must also get tested and quarantine for 14 days from the time of exposure.

The health department said the owner was the man’s only workplace close contact.

“His family has been isolated and are being tested, and urgent public health actions are under way to understand the case’s movements,” the health department said.

“QR code data from this business is being analysed and close contacts are being identified and contacted by public health officials with advice.”

“The business has been closed for deep cleaning.”

Testing Commander Jeroen Weimar said the man attended his daughter’s house in Sydney for an event over the weekend, which at the time was listed as a green zone.

Victorian authorities are still investigating at which Sydney event the man caught the virus.

It’s not confirmed whether he attended a birthday party in West Hoxton, which has since been deemed a superspreading event by NSW authorities, or at another party.

The man developed symptoms at 10pm on Tuesday night after his return from Sydney and got tested on Wednesday.

The Department of Health was notified of positive result on Thursday morning.

“We are obviously working through his movements on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday,” Mr Weimar said.
