Dino Prizmic has cracked a 160 km per hour passing shot past Djokovic to break the 10-time champions serve in the second set.

“That was the best forehand he has ever hit in his life, probably,” John McEnroe said on commentary.

The 18-year-old also won a 22-shot rally in that game.

He leads 3-1 in the second set after losing the first.

Djokovic also got a time violation warning in that last service game.

Not as smooth as a start as he expected.

Djokovic won the first set 6-2 and is chasing his break point in the second set but Prizmic is playing his shots and has twice held his serve.

He won a 23-shot rally with Djokovic in the last game as well. This teenager has some talent.

Christopher O’Connell is pumping up the crowd on court three after beating Cristian Garin in five sets.

He was soaking up the love after hitting the winning point.

Garin gave him a quick hug and left the court, he will be disappointed but showed he still has the talent to do well at the top level.

But this was O’Connell’s night.

He is the first Aussie through to the second round. And he will be aiming to go further still.

O’Connell has bounced back from his break in serve to break back against Garin and take a 6-5 lead in the fifth set.

The Aussie will, again, serve for the match. Otherwise we will be going to a match tiebreak to 10 points.

Court three is screaming like the final tie in a Davis Cup final.

Djokovic has again broken Prizmic to take a 5-2 lead in the first set.

Prizmic has already had a medical timeout a little while back for what looks like a quad problem but he is soldiering on.

It doesn’t seem to matter much either way, Djokovic is completely in charge.

Garin has gone for broke and kept himself alive in this tournament.

He broke O’Connell with a powering backhand down the line which just touched the line and made it 5-5 in this fifth set.

Now Garin is serving for the lead. This match has been a cracker.

O’Connell has a roaring crowd behind him as he serves for the match at 5-4 in the fifth set.

He’s won the first point. Now to finish the job.

The teenager has won a game against Djokovic which will no doubt be a point of bragging in years to come.

But Djokovic, who leads 3-1, has caught the eye of the commentators for his body-hugging shorts.

Todd Woodbridge appears to be a fan of the tighter shorts, harking back to his days in the 1990s when tight shorts were king.

The home crowd is roaring on court three, even cheering as first serves are about to go down, much to the frustration of the umpire.

O’Connell has held his serve for a 4-2 lead in the fifth set.

He is two wins away from a place in the second round.

O’Connell is pumping his fist to the crowd after earning three break points and winning the second one to break Garin in the fifth set.

O’Connell leads 3-2 with his serve to come.

The “C’mon Chris C’mon” chants are flying around court three.

Huge hold of serve needed here for O’Connell.

Adblock test (Why?)
